Kotalawela Defence University (KDU) is diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia, and has been advised by the doctors to undergo an urgent bone marrow transplant surgery at the Manipal Hospital, Bangalore, India.

An estimated amount of Rs. 20 million is required for the surgery to be performed in an overseas hospital. Currently, he is receiving treatment at the National Cancer Institute of Sri Lanka in Maharagama (Apeksha Hospital), and the associated costs are already imposing a significant financial strain on his parents who belong to a middle class family.
Since the total cost is overwhelming, his family is struggling to bear the expenses which is why your contribution is so crucial at this needy hour. The parents and relatives of Sasindu are therefore appealing for help from generous donors for his treatment and overseas surgery.

Please extend your support to this medical student in his fight for life. By saving him today, you are not just saving one individual; you are potentially safeguarding the future of countless lives he could impact as a future doctor. Your assistance now can create a ripple effect of healing and care that will resonate far beyond this critical moment.
