Dr. Malika Karunaratne elected as SLCM President

Induction of Dr. Malika Karunaratne as the President of the Sri Lanka College of Microbiologsts for the year 2023/24 Dr Rohini Wadanamby, the outgoing president, awarding the president’s medal to the incoming president, Dr Malika Karunaratne, and congratulating her on her inductio as the President of the Sri Lanka College of Microbiologists

Sri Lanka College of Microbiologists (SLCM) had its annual general meeting in October and elected an executive committee which will serve as its new set of office bearers for the period 2023/2024. Dr. Malika Karunaratne was elected as its new president.
The rest of the officer bearers are:
President Elect Dr. Sujatha Pathirage, Vice President Dr. Jayanthi Elwitigala , Joint Secretaries Dr. Chathuri Gunasekera and Dr. Namal Jayawardena, Co- Treasurers Dr. Nilanthi Senanayake, Dr. Saranga Sumathipala, Co-Editors Dr. Varuna Navaratne and Dr. Roshan Jayasuriya.
Council members are Dr. Rohini Wadanamby (ex officio), Dr. Lilani Karunanayake, Dr. Samanmalee Gunasekara, Dr. Rohitha Muthugala, Dr. Dilini Nakkawita, Dr. Kishani Dinapala, Dr. Vaithehi Francis, Dr. Thanuja Ranasinghe.
