Crucial medical equipment worth Rs. 6 million donated to Monaragala hospital

Under the guidance of the Director of the Hospital Services Board, Most Venerable Rajavelle Subhūthi Thero, a donation programme of medical equipment worth approximately 6 million rupees was held at the Handapanagala Regional Hospital in the Monaragala District. This programme was organised under the leadership of the Chief Incumbent of the Thanamalvila Kitulkotay Rathanasandhana Meditation Centre, Most Venerable Walasmulle Gunaratana Thero.
The medical equipment was donated by the Hospital Service Support Foundation in San Francisco, USA, along with members of the Hospital Services Boards in Australia and the United Kingdom. Financial sponsorship for the transportation of the equipment was provided by Most Venerable Walasmulle Gunaratana Thero, in merit of his mother.The Ministry of Health and the Sri Lanka Customs Department also extended their support in facilitating the importation of these medical devices into the country.
