Bishop’s College, one of Sri Lanka’s oldest Anglican private schools, celebrated its 150th anniversary with a solemn Founders’ Day Commemoration Service at the Church of St Michael and All Angels, Kollupitiya. The service was officiated by Rev. Sarah Hutton, a distinguished past pupil from the UK. As part of the celebrations, the school rededicated its 125-year-old Chapel of St Agnes, a cornerstone of its spiritual heritage, and unveiled a state-of-the-art Advanced Level building, symbolizing its commitment to future generations. Prime Minister Dr Harini Amarasuriya, a distinguished past pupil of the school, graced the occasion. The Founders’ Day ceremonies marked the beginning of a week-long celebration of Bishop’s College’s 150-year legacy.
