Woman vaccinated twice in Kandy

• She told doctors that she was vaccinated twice at the centre

A woman who felt faintish and developed other complications allegedly from being vaccinated twice at the Ogastawatta vaccination centre in Kandy was provided preliminary treatment and admitted to the Peradeniya teaching hospital.  

She told doctors that she was vaccinated twice at the vaccination centre.   

Her husband made a complaint in this regard to the Peradeniya police and health authorities.  

Central Province Director of Health Services Nihal Weerasuriya said the incident had been reported to him and that a formal investigation would be held.
