MR says election not an issue, SLPP can win even today

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa said that the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna can win an election, even if it is held today. “We know there are certain people of this country against us.  Even today, if there is a general election, we could win and that is the truth.  

Today we are going around the country, and we can see this situation very clearly,” the former President said at the SLPP rally in Nawalapitiya.

Meanwhile, Rajapaksa said that it’s important to pay attention to children’s nutrition as they are the future of this country. “As a party, we are having discussions to ensure that the tax burden on people is being lifted,” he said.
