Giant kite carries youth into air in Point Pedro

• A strong wind took hold of his kite and sucked him into the air

A youth flying a kite in Point Pedro, Jaffna unexpectedly ended up airborne, when a strong wind took hold of his kite and sucked him into the air. 

The youth who had been flying a tailed kite with a group of others, was whisked 40 feet into the air. He was seen hanging onto the rope after being lifted.   

After crashing onto the ground, he was admitted to the Point Pedro hospital.   

The youth sustained minor injuries.
