Videos involving student, teachers circulate on social media Education Secretary seeks principal’s report

The Secretary to the Ministry of Education, Nalaka Kaluwewa, has instructed the principal of a popular school in Colombo to submit a report regarding an alleged close relationship between the school’s head prefect and three female teachers, and the circulation of related videos on social media.

He stated that the Ministry of Education has taken note of the videos currently being circulated on social media in connection with the incident. The Secretary further said that appropriate action would be taken after the completion of investigations, based on the findings of the principal’s report.

He also emphasised that until the report is received, no action, including disciplinary measures, can be taken against the teachers allegedly involved.

Currently, several videos in relation to this incident are circulating on social media.
