Tragic collision claims two lives, four seriously injured

Two young men died, and four others were seriously injured in a fatal accident on Sunday night at Passarayaya in Sella Kataragama when a van that ran out of control due to excessive speed had bumped against two motorcycles and a lorry, parked by the roadside and crashed into a tree.  

  The deceased were identified as Dishan Kavinda Ranasinghe (26) and Chanaka Lakshan (26) of Kataragama New Town. Investigations revealed that the deceased and the injured were passengers on board. The injured, two of them in critical condition, were admitted to Hambantota General Hospital.   

Kataragama Police are conducting further investigations on the instructions of SSP Tangalle K.B. Kirthiratne.
