Shanmuga Hindu Balika Vidyalaya student excels in O/L, felicitated by Governor

A student of Shanmuga Hindu Balika Vidyalaya in Trincomalee Darshana Konesh who came second in the Island rank in the Tamil Medium and first in the Eastern Province at the recent Ordinary Level Examination was felicitated by Governor Senthil Thondaman.  

Darshana was the sixth in the all Island rank.  

She told the media that she obtained private tuition only in Mathematics, English Language, Science, Tamil Language and Information Technology and that she depended entirely on classroom lessons on other subjects. She said her ambition was to become a doctor.   When the governor inquired about what she needed for her future educational pursuits, she requested to issue the proposed land for her school. The governor promised to meet her request.
