SLC to consider lifting ban on Danushka Gunathilaka

• The ex-co will meet and take a decision early next week

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) will discuss lifting the temporary ban imposed on Danushka Gunathilaka, after he was found not guilty of sexual assault charges in Australia on Thursday. 

  SLC imposed the indefinite ban last year when Gunathilaka was taken into custody after a Australian woman alleged that the cricketer had sexually assaulted her.   
“The ex-co will meet and take a decision early next week after which the ban could be lifted and he can return to play cricket in Sri Lanka,” an SLC official told the Daily Mirror.
