Online train ticket fraudster nabbed

The railway security guards apprehended a person who allegedly committed fraud of online purchasing train tickets to be sold to tourists at exorbitant rates.
The person had purchased tickets for the Colombo Fort- Badulla train. A ticket purchased at Rs.1,200 had been resold to foreigners at Rs.13,000 in a fraudulent manner.
He was handed over to the tourist police for further investigation.
According to initial inquiries, he had purchased tickets on 92 occasions over the last five months.
