Nurses protest sans uniform while on duty

 Government Service United Nurses Union yesterday staged a protest by attending to duties without uniform.
 The nurses in government hospitals all over the country affiliated to the trade union participated.   
 Their main demand was a monthly allowance of Rs.10,000 added to their salary.  

 A representative of the trade union said it was a silent protest that would not affect the treatment of patients in any manner.
