Anyone except Keheliya good as Health Minister: Rajitha

Anyone except Keheliya Rambukwella is suitable to take the Health Minister Portfolio, Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP Dr Rajitha Senaratne said.

He made the statement after Monday’s Cabinet reshuffle which saw Keheliya Rabukkwella out as Health Minister. 
President named Dr Ramesh Pathirana as the Health Minister in Rambukkwella’s place.

The cabinet reshuffle took place on Monday, October 23, during which the Ministerial Portfolios of several Ministers, including Mahinda Amaraweera and Keheliya Rambukwella were changed. 

The former Health Minister, Keheliya Rambukwella, had faced substantial criticism due to the importation of substandard drugs during his tenure, leading to widespread calls for his resignation. 

A motion of no confidence was even introduced in Parliament, but it was ultimately defeated, allowing him to retain his position.
