10 year old school girl dies after being run over by bus

A 10-year-old school girl who was run over by a private bus running from Gampola to Berawila near the Udahenthanna Adhikari National School has died after being admitted to the Kuruduwatta Regional Hospital.  

Vishmi Purnima Hansamali, a resident of the Malgolla area in Gampola, has died due to the accident.  

She is a Grade 5 student in the primary section of the Udahenthanna Adhikari National School.  

The police who are investigating said that she had come to school yesterday morning in this bus, got off near the school, crossed the road in front of the bus and was going towards the school when she was run over by the bus.  

It is said that her elder brother was also in the bus when she was run over by the bus.
