Inflation down in October

Sri Lanka’s

point to point inflation slowed to 5.1 percent in October, from 6.4 percent in September, recording the third straight monthly slowdown, according to Census and Statistics Department data.

The Colombo Consumer Price Index (CCPI) slid 0.1 percent to 151.5 points in October, from 151.7 in September.

The twelve month moving average of the index also slowed to 7.1 percent in October from 7.2 percent in September 2011.
