Lorry topples and catches fire at Southern Expressway

Three persons were injured when a lorry travelling from Kottawa collided with a security fence and caught fire on the Southern Expressway near the Kurundugahahethekma area.

The accident occurred during transit along the expressway, causing the vehicle to veer off course and crash against the fence. The impact reportedly triggered a fire, engulfing the lorry in flames.

The injured individuals were rushed to the Elpitiya Base Hospital for treatment.
