AIA scholarship awarded for sixth year at Wayamba University

AIA Sri Lanka partnered with Wayamba University of Sri Lanka to offer a scholarship for Excellence in Insurance Studies to the most outstanding final year student in the Insurance and Valuation Department of the university, for the sixth consecutive year.
This year, the scholarship was awarded to Waruni Nilwala who received a six-month internship programme at the company together with a monthly allowance. Waruni has achieved outstanding academic performance as well as an all-round track record in sports and leadership at both her school and the university.
At the presentation of the scholarship, AIA Sri Lanka CEO Shah Rouf said, “AIA takes great pride in recognizing, rewarding and inspiring excellence in insurance among students at the Wayamba University, the first university in the country to offer a Degree in Insurance to nurture and develop the industry.”
