Veterinary physicians attached to the Kuliyapitiya Veterinary office successfully removed a cyst from the head of a cobra on Wednesday, an official said.
“After anaesthetizing the cobra we performed the operation and removed the cyst, which was located just above the one of its eyes ,” said veterinary physician Ruwini Wijesinghe . She said the cyst had been sent to the Peradeniya University for examination.
