The Trincomalee Naval Exercise (TRINEX) began on April 1 with the objective of enhancing professionalism of the SLN fleet and provide training exposure to the officers under training at the Naval and Maritime Academy (NMA). The exercise is being conducted under the direction of the Commander Eastern Naval Area (COMEAST) and the supervision of the Flag Officer Commanding the Naval Fleet (FOCNF). (Navy)
