Sterilizing homeless dogs living in KDU Hospital

A program to sterilize homeless dogs living in the Kotelawala Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) Hospital premises in Werahera, Boralesgamuwa and administer them with hydrophobia vaccination was carried out at the hospital premises on May 18.

The program was implemented at the request of the Director (Administration) of the hospital, Brigadier C.S. Thibbotuge, under the theme of Humane Animal Population Management.

A group of veterinarians led by Veterinarian Chamith Nanayakkara, founder of the Association of Veterinarians for Humane Management of Animal Population, and the Vets for Future veterinary team. 

The financial contribution for the above program has been made by the Adopt a dog in Sri Lanka organization.
