Seat belt awareness campaign at expressway

Specialist orthopedic surgeons Dr. Narendra Pinto, Dr. R. Chandrasekaram, and Dr. Ranjith Nanda Ellawala from the College of Surgeons of Sri Lanka joined officials from the Transport, Highways, Ports, and Civil Aviation Ministry in distributing awareness leaflets at the Kottawa expressway entrance today. The campaign promotes seat belt use among motorists, following the newly implemented law requiring bus drivers to wear seat belts and the upcoming regulation mandating rear-seat passengers in light vehicles on expressways to buckle up from September 1.
