Rich maize harvest

The farmers in the Oyamaduwa area were seen filling sacks with maize grain after reaping a rich harvest. According to the Department of Agriculture, Sri Lanka maize farmers have sown over 96,000 hectares for the main (Maha) 2021 season which can produce up to 385,368 metric tonnes of grain.
