Oil anointing ceremony held at Sripada

The traditional oil anointing ceremony at Sripada Uda Maluwa was held at 6.55 a.m. today (15) under the patronage of Venerable Dorapane Sumanajothi Thera.

The anointing ritual was conducted under the guidance of the Chief Incumbent of Sripada Uda Maluwa, who also serves as the Chancellor of Uva Wellassa University and the Chief Sangha Nayaka of the Sabaragamuwa Ratnapura District. The ceremony was further held in accordance with the instructions of senior clergy, including the Incumbent of Pelmadulla Dagab Rajamaha Viharaya and Bengamuwe Sri Dhammadinna Thera.
