A novice monk examines the alms bowl or Pathra donated to him at a religious ceremony at Gangarama Temple in Colombo while another looks on. Around 150 alms bowls which are resistant to corrosion were distributed among the novice monks. These alms blows had been brought from Thailand. Pics by Nisal Baduge
