Maradana station chosen as sightseeing spot

More than 100 schoolchildren from Kandakuliya Mune Sinhala Vidyalaya, along with a group of teachers and staff members led by the school’s Principal W. U. C. P. Silva, selected the Maradana Railway Station as one of the sightseeing spots during their annual school tour.

The visit took place today under the instructions and guidance of the Maradana Railway Station Superintendent, with the aim of educating the students about the historical importance of the station and its special significance in the history of railway transport in Sri Lanka.

The educational program was conducted by Station Master Kasun Chamara on the instructions of Maradana Railway Station Superintendent Kapila Pushpakumara.
