Kuwait Airways resumed direct flights between Kuwait and Colombo today (27), marking the first service in two years. An Airbus A320neo aircraft arrived at Bandaranaike International Airport for the inaugural flight and was greeted with a traditional water salute.

The Sri Lanka Tourism Board organized a cultural dance performance to welcome the passengers, while the Sri Lanka Tea Board presented gifts of Ceylon Tea as a token of hospitality.
