Himalayan brown bears at Dehiwala Zoo

A pair of Himalayan brown bears, brought to the Dehiwala Zoo from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), were put on public display at the Dehiwala Zoological Gardens in Colombo, Sri Lanka, yesterday. Zoological Gardens Assistant Director Dinushika Manawadu said the bears, which arrived in the country on February 10, were quarantined for over a month under the supervision of veterinarians.
