BIA gets new scanning machines

Two scanning machines worth Rs. 50 million were installed this afternoon at the arrival terminal of the Sri Lanka Customs at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Katunayake. Officials said the new machines will help speed up baggage clearance for the 20,000 passengers who arrive daily, while also improving efficiency in Customs operations. Pix Nimalsiri Edirisinghe
