The media briefing to announce the 16th Jaffna International Trade Fair (JITF) was held yesterday at the Galle Face Hotel. The exhibition will take place from 23rd to 25th January 2026 at the Muttarveli Ground in Jaffna, marking Northern Sri Lanka’s largest annual trade event.
Organized by Lanka Exhibition & Conference Services (LECS), the fair continues to strengthen business connections, promote innovation, and support economic growth in the region.
Over 400 exhibitors from sectors including construction, automotive, agriculture, ICT, healthcare, food and beverages, and more, will showcase products and services to thousands of visitors. Last year, the fair attracted over 78,000 visitors and 5,000 business delegates, highlighting its importance as a hub for business networking and trade development.
The fair also offers opportunities for product launches, partnerships, and exploring export and investment options. Around 70% of visitors engage in direct business discussions, resulting in collaborations and new market opportunities.
Aligned with global sustainability trends, JITF 2026 will continue its Plastic Neutral initiative, promoting responsible waste management and recycling at the event.
The fair has strong support from leading companies, including DIMO (Platinum Sponsor), Tokyo Cement Group (Diamond Sponsor), and other major sponsors from banking, finance, consumer goods, and manufacturing sectors.
With its wide-ranging industries, influential visitors, and focus on innovation and sustainability, the 16th Jaffna International Trade Fair is expected to be a key driver of business and economic growth in Northern Sri Lanka. (Pix by Kithsiri de Mel)
