Softlogic takes over Subway operations in Sri Lanka

Softlogic Holdings subsidiary Softlogic Restaurants (Pvt) Ltd. has entered into a joint venture deal to operate Subway franchise in Sri Lanka, the company said in a stock exchange filing. 
Subway is an American multi-national fast food restaurant franchise that primarily sells submarine sandwiches, wraps, salads and drinks.
Accordingly, Softlogic Restaurants has entered into a joint venture and management agreement “for the development and operation of outlets operated previously by Subway Development (Pvt) Ltd (the Subway franchise in Sri Lanka) and has taken over the existing Subway operations in Sri Lanka,” the filing said.

“The said transaction marks Softlogic Restaurants (Pvt) Ltd.’s foray of bringing the best and most diverse culinary experience and quick service restaurants to satisfy local taste buds across a wide mix of international restaurant chains in Sri Lanka” it added.
Softlogic Restaurants which operates within the retail sector of the Softlogic Group manages and operates international franchises including Burger King, Baskin-Robbins, Popeyes, Delifrance and Crystal Jade.
