Liquor license extended by six months for SLTDA establishments

Validity of liquor licenses of establishments registered under the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) will be extended for an additional six months by the Excise Department.

The SLTDA announced that the extension will be for establishments which have renewed licenses for 2021/2022. Accordingly, the renewal will be for six months starting 1 January 2023.

The SLTDA said the extension is offered as an incentive towards the tourism industry.
