Three new members appointed to Finance Commission

President Ranil Wickremesinghe has appointed three new members to the Finance Commission, on the recommendation of the Constitutional Council.
The new members are Sumith Abeysinghe (Chairperson), Tuan Nalin Osen and Mayan Wamadeva.
The main goal of the Finance Commission is to ensure the achievement of balanced regional development throughout the country. 
In this regard, the Finance Commission is expected to take appropriate actions to reduce intra-regional disparities, with a view to achieving an acceptable level of development within 
the provinces.
