A senior management team from The Technocity Pvt Ltd recently made a strategic visit to ‘Computex 2025’ in Taipei, aligning the company’s growth trajectory with the latest global advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital infrastructure.
Helmed by Chairman & MD Famy Ismail, with CEO Akram Badurdeen, Director of Distribution Gehan Thangappan, and Gaming & Components Director Mohamed Kadeer, the leadership’s presence signaled Technocity’s strategic intent of catalysing AI adoption across Sri Lanka’s digital ecosystem.
“AI is no longer aspirational. It’s foundational,” said Ismail. “We’re building the channel partnerships and internal capabilities to put AI-powered tools into the hands of every Sri Lankan business and consumer.”
Representing more than 20 international brands and maintaining key alliances with Taiwanese innovators such as ASUS, MSI, Corsair, ViewSonic, Raidmax, ADATA, and Gamdias, the Technocity team explored next-gen AI technologies, intelligent edge computing, smart enterprise solutions to immersive gaming platforms to reshape the IT landscape in Sri Lanka.
As Sri Lanka’s digital economy continues to grow, Technocity aims to play a leading role in the adoption and integration of AI technologies across the island. The company is already in discussions with partners to roll out new product lines tailored for Sri Lanka’s unique market needs.
Beyond exploring new technologies, the visit focused on expanding supplier alliances, forecasting regional market shifts, and positioning Sri Lanka as a future-ready IT hub in South Asia.
As AI reshapes the global tech narrative, The Technocity is stepping up as a conduit of progress — ensuring Sri Lanka’s IT ecosystem evolves in sync with the world’s best.
