SLEIS 2025 to feature capital markets as ‘catalyst for growth’

Day One of the Sri Lanka Economic & Investment Summit 2025, will examine how equity and debt markets can support the country’s economic expansion while boosting investor confidence, under the theme “Capital Markets: Catalyst for Growth”.
The session will explore opportunities for market re-rating, strategies to raise capital, and regulatory initiatives aimed at driving new listings. The discussion will also highlight ways to showcase high-potential companies, both established and emerging, to attract domestic and foreign investment.
The keynote will be delivered by Ruchir Desai, Co-Fund Manager, AFC Asia Frontier Fund, Hong Kong.
In addition to Desai, the panel will feature Senaka Kakiriwaragodage, Chief Executive Officer, NDB Capital Holdings Limited; Rajeeva Bandaranaike, Chief Executive Officer, Colombo Stock Exchange; Sharhan Muhseen, Chairman, Commercial Bank of Ceylon; and Dilshan Wirasekara, Managing Director/CEO, First Capital Holdings PLC. The session will be moderated by Vindhya Jayasekara, CEO Designate, Colombo Stock Exchange.
The Summit will take place on December 2nd and 3rd at the Shangri La Hotel Colombo.
