Pasan Wanigasekara assumes duties as BOI Director General

Multi-disciplined corporate leader Pasan Wanigasekara has been appointed as the new Director General of the Board of Investment (BOI), the country’s state-run apex investment promotion body.

Wanigasekara, who is also an attorney-at-law, with a broad international exposure in Asia Pacific, Europe and North America, across a wide range of topics, including corporate strategy, M&A, strategic marketing and business development, operations optimisation, digitisation and legal, is expected to assume duties today.

According to his LinkedIn profile, he has served as a Consultant to Fortune 500 companies, including global financial institutions and corporates, with expertise in nine key sectors—financial institutions, energy, utilities, industrials, IT and communication, manufacturing and consumer goods.
