New DG appointed to Public Enterprise Department

Thilaka Jayasundara yesterday assumed duties as Director General of the Public Enterprises Department.

Jayasundara has previously served as Additional Secretary to the Finance and Mass Media Ministry and Chairman of Independent Television Network (ITN).

The Public Enterprises Department is vested with the responsibilities of monitoring the activities of the Treasury and the subjects that come under the purview of the departments, statutory institutions and public corporations, which fall under the purview of the Finance and Mass Media Ministry.
