NCE seeks damage reports as floods hit exporters nationwide

The National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka (NCE) expressed deep concern about the severe floods affecting many parts of the country in recent days. 
The Chamber shared it is currently assessing the extent to which export-oriented companies, their factories, and supply chains have been affected.
“The export sector plays a vital role in sustaining the national economy, and any disruption to operations can have far-reaching consequences,” NCE President Indhra Kaushal Rajapaksa said. 
The Chamber requested its member companies to share details of any damages or operational challenges they are facing due to the floods.
He added the information will enable the NCE to engage with the relevant government authorities to facilitate immediate support and relief measures. 
“At this critical time, collaboration is essential. We assure the government and all stakeholders that the NCE stands ready to work together to ensure a swift recovery and to safeguard the resilience of Sri Lanka’s export sector,” said Rajapaksa.
