Metropolitan opens new Kandy MCentre

Metropolitan Technologies (Pvt.) Ltd recently unveiled its relocated and newly designed Metropolitan MCentre showroom in Kandy. 

The grand opening ceremony was graced by Metropolitan Technologies Deputy Chairman Ivor Maharoof and Acer Computers (Singapore) (Pvt.) Ltd Managing Director Chia Lishi, who jointly officiated the ribbon cutting. 

Also present were Metropolitan Technologies Director and CEO Ali Asgar Roshanali, Vice President Retail Sector Praveen Samarakone, senior management representatives and special invitees from the Kandy business and retail community. 

The new Metropolitan MCentre Kandy blends contemporary design with customer convenience, featuring open layouts, interactive product zones and dedicated experience areas for leading global brands including Canon, Acer, HP, Lenovo, MSI, Asus, Logitech, Kaspersky, York, Microsoft and many more. 

Maharoof highlighted, “Kandy has always been close to our heart and this new location represents our continued investment in our customers and in this vibrant city.” 

Roshanali said, “Our new MCentre is designed to serve our customers better, to give them a more engaging and comfortable space to experience technology.” 

Samarakone emphasised that the new space is part of a larger brand transformation under the Metropolitan MCentre identity, aligning modern retail aesthetics with the strength and credibility of the Metropolitan brand. 

Lishi commended Metropolitan’s long-standing partnership of close to four decades with Acer, praising the company’s dedication to quality and customer satisfaction.
