CSE becomes Strategic Partner of CMA Excellence in Integrated Reporting Awards 2025

The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE), as in previous years, continues its role as the Strategic Partner of the CMA Excellence in Integrated Reporting Awards 2025.
In a significant step towards advancing integrated reporting and sustainable corporate practices in Sri Lanka, Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala, Founder President of CMA Sri Lanka and Chairman of the CMA Excellence in Integrated Reporting Awards Committee, officially presented the CMA Excellence in Integrated Reporting Awards 2025 to CSE Chairman Dimuthu Abeyesekera and CEO Rajeeva Bandaranaike during a special meeting held at the CSE premises recently.
During the meeting, Prof. Watawala also handed over the Judges Report for the 2024 Awards, reinforcing CMA Sri Lanka’s continued commitment to transparency, accountability, and best practices in corporate reporting. 
This report compiled by the Senior Technical Evaluation Panel and enhanced with insights from the Panel of Judges, highlights key observations, trends, and best practices identified throughout the awards assessment process. It underscores a growing maturity among organizations in applying the <IR> Framework—moving beyond basic compliance to embrace substance-driven, narrative-led disclosures focused on long-term value creation.   
The competition is open to a wide spectrum of entities, including listed companies, private businesses, state-owned enterprises, SMEs, and public sector institutions. The awards structure spans multiple categories:

• Overall Awards – Gold, Silver, Bronze
• Ten Best Integrated Reports
• Special Awards

Sector Awards – Recognizing 22 industry sectors, including banking, finance, insurance, IT, healthcare, construction, apparel, and more

• SME Awards
• Merit Awards
• Certificates of Compliance

The 2025 evaluation will be based on the International <IR> Framework (2021 revision), with special focus on sustainability disclosures, aligned with the newly introduced Sustainability Standards S1 and S2. A distinguished panel of local and international judges will oversee the assessment process.
