The Oxford Global Society will be hosting a panel discussion on the topic ‘IMF: Long Overdue Reforms’ with Sri Lanka, as a case in point, on October 27, 2023.
The Oxford Global Society is a policy think tank, which is headed by Professor Denis Galligan (Emeritus Professor at the University of Oxford and a Visiting Lecturer at Princeton University).
Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe is Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and he served as the former Alternate Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund. Talal Rafi is an Economist and was a member of the Deloitte Global Economist Network. He is an Expert Member of the World Economic Forum and a regular columnist for the International Monetary Fund.
The panel will also include Dr. Sharmini Coorey (Member of Sri Lanka’s Presidential Advisory Group and a former Director of the International Monetary Fund) and Dr. Reza Baqir (former Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan and Senior Fellow at Harvard University).
