Abans with Fintrex Finance introduces SnapPay

• Launches easy smartphone payment plans across all Abans showrooms 

Abans introduced SnapPay through a partnership with Fintrex Finance. 

This newest and most flexible payment solution SnapPay is designed to reshape the way the consumers purchase mobile devices. Launched in parallel with the well-established Abans Tiken Tika Pay easy payment plans, SnapPay is bound to reshape affordability, accessibility and convenience for the customers across Sri Lanka.

Abans has always grounded itself in the core belief of building strong relationships with its customers. With a history of over 50 years, the company has made a name for itself by not only offering high-quality household appliances and products but also by delivering world’s best brands to its consumers at the best prices.

All smartphones available at Abans under SnapPay are Telecommunication Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka approved, ensuring product quality and compliance. Popular and trusted brands such as Motorola, Oppo, Vivo, Realme, Infinix, Itel and Tecno are available under the scheme.

SnapPay removes the traditional barriers of credit card requirements and rigid instalment structures for consumers when purchasing smartphones. Accordingly, the customers can now walk into any Abans or Abans Elite showroom and walk out with a brand-new smartphone, making only a 30 percent downpayment and spreading the remaining 70 percent over up to 24 months – with the flexibility to choose the plan that fits their budget.

Unlike typical hire purchase plans, SnapPay is treated as a cash sale, giving the customers greater flexibility with minimal documentation; just a National Identity Card for the customer and guarantor is adequate to make the purchase.

With SnapPay, the customers can now choose their instalment durations based on the device value: up to Rs.100,000 – 12-month plan, above Rs.100,000 – 18-month plan and above Rs.200,000 – 24-month plan.

SnapPay payments can be made via eZ Cash, Abans Bill Collection Centres and selected online banking apps. Furthermore, in order to ensure responsible repayments, SnapPay has integrated a smart feature where if payment is not made after three reminders, the phone will be automatically locked, helping to protect all parties involved.
