Patients left in the lurch as health workers strike work

Forty four trade unions in the health sector struck work today morning crippling the services at some hospitals including the Colombo National Hospital. They resorted to trade union action urging the government to restore their monthly risk allowance of Rs.7500 and to offer solutions to seven other issues grappling them.
