Buddhists observe Vap Poya

Following relaxation of Covid curbs, Buddhist devotees observe Vap Poya at Vihares all over the country. Vap Poya that falls today marks the end of three month’s Vas season (the retreat) during which the Buddhist monks stay in temples. This period ends with the offering of Katina Cheewaraya.
