Vaas granted bail in threat case

Former DIG Vaas Gunawardana was granted bail today by the Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage in connection with the threatening of CID officers

However he remains in the remand custody over the alleged killing of a businessman.

The next court hearing will be on October 2

Magistrate also warned the former DIG neither to interfere nor obstruct the ongoing investigations because if he violates these conditions his bail would be cancelled. (Lakmal Sooriyagoda)
