Upeksha’s husband surrenders

The main suspect and spouse of UPFA MP Upeksha Swarnamali, Mahesh Chaaminda Walawegama who reportedly assaulted the MP causing injuries to her face has surrendered to the Mirihana police a short while ago, police sources told Daily Mirror online.

Upeksha Swarnamali was admitted to the Sri Jayawardenapura Hospital last Wednesday after sustaining several injuries due to reportedly a domestic violence incident. (GS & SD)
