Strong winds forecast in coastal areas

The Meteorology Department said the sea areas off the coast extending from Hambantota to Pottuvil and deep sea areas off the coast from Jaffna to Trincomalee may experience strong winds with speeds increasing upto 60 km/h at times while the speed may increase up to 50 Kmph in the Gulf of Mannar sea area and the sea areas off the coast extending from Puttalam to Hambantota via Galle.

The Department said sea areas off the coast extending from Hambantota to Pottuvil and deep sea areas off the coast from Jaffna to Trincomalee will be rough at times and the Gulf of Mannar sea area and the sea areas off the coast extending from Puttalam to Hambantota via Galle will be fairly rough at times.
