Court restores Hakeem's security

The Supreme Court (SC) has ordered the partial restoration of the security of SLMC leader Rauff Hakeem which was withdrawn after Parliament was dissolved. Hakeem had earlier filed a fundamental rights petition seeking the restoration of his security.

Meanwhile IGP Mahinda Balasuriya informed court that the police security will be provided to former Members of Parliament (MP) who are either party leaders or General Secretaries. (SRF)
