Video: SC determines land powers with Centre

The Supreme Court unanimously today determined that the subject of land is vested with the Central Government and not with the Provincial Council, as stipulated by the 13th amendment.

Giving three separate judgments, Chief Justice Mohan Peiris, Justice S.Sripavan and Justice Eva Wanasundare determined that the powers regarding state land is vested with the Central Government and not with the Provincial Council, Attorney- at- law Gomin Dayasiri said. (H.F)
