Police arrest two suspects for assaulting driver

The Police today arrested two suspects for allegedly assaulting a driver of a lorry at Wedamulla in Kotmale last Monday after a pregnant woman was hit by the lorry.

Police said the arrested would be produced before Nawalapitiya Magistrate. Meanwhile, they said the lorry driver who was earlier arrested in connection with the accident was remanded till January 6.
